Yogi Adityanath to Join Grand Ganesh Festival at Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Trust

In Pune, this year’s Ganeshotsav is set to be a magnificent affair as the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust prepares for an extravagant celebration. Inspired by Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, the Trust has erected a magnificent pandal and graciously invited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to partake in the festivities.

A spokesperson for the organizing committee has unveiled details about the pandal’s design, which closely replicates the architecture of the Ram Mandir. Within this splendid structure, Lord Ram will be seated, accompanied by the ten avatars on the sides. Adding to the grandeur, a Ram Setu is being constructed as the entrance, and the pandal will feature fifteen to twenty statues of Lord Hanuman, each holding a stone in their hands.

It has been officially confirmed that UP CM Yogi Adityanath has accepted the invitation and pledged his presence at the Dagdusheth celebrations. Additionally, organizers have shared that the installation of the Lord Ganesh idol in the pandal will be conducted by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat.

The selection of the Ram Mandir theme serves the purpose of providing visitors with a preview of what the temple will look like when it opens in Ayodhya in January 2024.

The dedicated team has been diligently working on the pandal for the past two months, with completion expected within the next day or two. Anticipating a significant surge in visitors, the official has mentioned that while the pandal typically attracts around two crore visitors annually, this year, they anticipate an astounding five crore visitors.
