Yoga enthusiasts worldwide are planning to celebrate the sixth International Yoga Day this year at their homes, as coronavirus has forced all to social distancing. Renowned celebrity Yoga trainer Reema Vengurlekar has also planned to celebrate Yoga Day which happens to be on Sunday, 21 June.
This Yoga Day, Reema who specialises in ‘Ashtang Yoga’ since few years and has been instructing several Marathi celebrities will be virtually performing 108 Surya Namaskar along with 200 odd students and their families.
“This year is going to be different or say unique since Corona Virus pandemic social distancing norm has changed the way we use to teach and learn therefore I shall be virtually interacting with my 200 odd students and shall be performing 108 Surya Namaskars with them as a tribute to Yoga,” says Reema Vengurlekar who welcomes the move taken by Ministry of AYUSH to celebrate Yoga Virtually with your family at home.
Added Reema, “ Doing the Surya Namaskar at a faster pace than usual is a good cardio exercise that can help in losing weight, improves digestive system, detox your body and helps glowing skin. Yoga at Home and Yoga with family is the theme this year and we shall make the most of it since a lot of my students shall be joining me with their family members. The session starts at 8 am with 108 Surya namaskar so be prepared to spread good health and positivity”.
