Recognizing the invaluable contribution of nurses to India’s healthcare ecosystem, Himalaya BabyCare has undertaken a nationwide initiative to celebrate and honor nearly 50,000 nurses across the country. The initiative underscores the brand’s commitment to supporting healthcare professionals who play a pivotal role in maternal, newborn, and community care.
As part of this effort, Himalaya BabyCare was invited by the Trained Nurses Association of
India (TNAI) to participate in the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Awards 2026 ceremony, held at Rashtrapati Bhavan and presented by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu. During the event, the brand felicitated 15 National Florence Nightingale Award recipients, recognizing their exceptional contribution to the nursing profession and healthcare services in India.
Extending the recognition beyond the national awards, Himalaya BabyCare launched a large-scale appreciation initiative to honor nurses across hospitals and healthcare institutions nationwide. The program acknowledged nurses with 10 to 25 years of service through certificates of appreciation, specially curated hampers, and engagement activities designed to celebrate their dedication and commitment to patient care.
The initiative highlights the often-unseen efforts of nurses who serve as the backbone of healthcare delivery, providing critical support, comfort, and care to patients and families every day. Their role is especially significant in maternal and neonatal healthcare, where nurses serve as trusted guides and caregivers during some of life’s most important moments.
Speaking about the initiative, Chakravarthi N. V., Director – BabyCare, Himalaya Wellness Company, said, “Nurses are the backbone of healthcare, offering care, comfort, and reassurance at every stage of life. At Himalaya BabyCare, we deeply value the pivotal role nurses play in nurturing mothers and newborns through life’s most transformative moments. This initiative is a tribute to the compassion, resilience, and unwavering dedication of India’s nursing community, as we honour their service and celebrate their enduring contribution to society.”
According to the company, the initiative aligns with its broader philosophy of care, community wellbeing, and supporting individuals who make a meaningful impact on society. By recognizing the dedication of nurses, Himalaya BabyCare aims to strengthen community connections and reinforce appreciation for healthcare professionals who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
With a longstanding legacy rooted in trust, wellness, and gentle care, Himalaya BabyCare continues to champion initiatives that acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of frontline healthcare workers, reaffirming its commitment to the communities it serves across India.
