Pune: Home team Vegvan Pune and Baladhyay Baramati made an impressive start to their campaign as they cruised into the semifinals from pool A on the opening day itself of the Pune League Kabaddi at the boxing hall of the Balewadi Sports complex on Tuesday.
From Pool B Shivneri, Junnar and Lay Bhari Pimpri Chinchwad made it to the semifinals.
The Pune League Kabaddi. Being organised by Satej Sangh, Baner and Baburao chandere Social Foundation serves as a feeder event to scout for talent for the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). The Pune league being district centric, more players from interior villages get a chance to showcase their skills to the scouts of PKL.
Earlier in the NCP’s youth leader Mr. Parth Pawar, inaugurated the League in presence of Mr. Baburao Chandere, Working President of the Maharashtra state Kabaddi Association. The six-day League will witness over 720 players in action.
