In the year 1983, Dr.B.S.Avasthi established Surya Children’s Hospital in the private sector of Mumbai. Later, in the year 1993, it founded a center, named, Surya BioMedical Research. As the years passed, the hospital expanded its services. In the year 2004, Surya Hospitals assisted with BMC and established a maternity hospital. After that, Dr. Bhupendra Avasthi founded the Surya Child Care in the year 2013 with the notable actress, Kajol Devgan.
In the following year, they launched the Pediatric super-specialty Surya Child Care Hospital. The great actor, Amitabh Bachchan was called for the inauguration of this organization. Another organization named, Surya Mother and Childcare was founded in the year 2015 in Wakad, Pune. Later, in the year 2016, they launched the Mei Clinic of Dr. Jayshree Todkar. Additionally, they launched the NICU facility in their organization in the same year. Surya Hospitals lastly collaborated with McMaster Children’s Hospital, Canada.
