Pune: Sukhman Singh of Wave Riders nailed in an outstanding Hole-in-one on Par-3 17th hole to light up the opening day of the Kapil Dev presents Trinity Golf Champions League as his team defeated Mumbai Warriors 10 to 6 in a tournament being played in the unique Ryder Cup format.
The other match saw Dakshin Rangers beat Maratha Mulligans 10 to 6. Lady pro golfers Vani Kapoor and Neha Tripathi won thrilling encounters as their team gathered 10 points and there were six holes still to be played.
The evening session had a clash of the titans where Chandigarh Titan beat Dugasta Titans handsomely 15 to 1. In the other game between Golfcode up against Vishwasamudra Golden Eagles, the Golden Eagles fought valiantly with their pro player contributing 3 points Golf code, however, rode on their amateur players to win the match – 13 to 3.
Day 2 will see alternate shots where Golfcode will play Chandigarh titans in the morning session along with Vishwasamudra Golden Eagles playing Dugasta Titans and the afternoon session we will see Mumbai Warriors up against Maratha Mulligans and Dakshin Rangers up against Wave Riders .
