Pune Universities to conduct exams from June 15

sppu to conduct exams from 15th june

The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) will begin its second-semester examinations for diploma, graduate, and postgraduate courses on June 15. Exams for the second semester will likely continue till August and results will be declared after that.

At the university’s examination board meeting on Saturday, a decision was made in this regard. Additionally, the pattern for exams was discussed, as well as methods to increase transparency.

Universities and colleges are closed due to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) epidemic. As a result, instead of October-November last year, the first semester exams were proctored online starting in April.

In the meantime, SPPU has begun the application procedure for providing the examination form for both the first and second term exams. The possibility to apply for both the first and second term exam forms at the same time is available. By May, SPPU students can submit their information through the connected colleges’ student area.

The examination department will issue a complete timeline for the examinations, which will be administered online in stages. The university’s own Edutech Foundation will conduct these 50 mark tests, that will include multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The SPPU is exploring alternative exam methods for the second semester. Earlier, students had urged that the second-semester tests be held right away since they required the results for further education applications and job opportunities. The fact that SPPU is holding back-to-back exams for both semesters is praised by students.

Meanwhile, the SPPU has directed all affiliated colleges to hold practicals and internal tests by June 15 and report the results before June 25, since the university will not be able to declare the results without practical and internal marks from the colleges.

SPPU also released exam results for several courses, such as a Certificate Course in Forensic and Medical Jurisprudence and a Diploma Course in Cyber Laws. Students who took the semester examinations in October 2020 can now view their results at unipune.ac.in, SPPU’s official website.
