Mumbai-Pune expressway to close for 2 hours today; check details

The Pune- bound carriageway of the Mumbai-Pune expressway will remain closed for all types of vehicles for two hours between noon and 2pm on Tuesday, November 21, traffic officials said.

The carriageway is being closed as the MSRDC is installing an overhead gantry in the Bhor ghat section under the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) project.Motor vehicles heading towards Pune will be diverted from Shedung phata at a distance of 8km from the site of work and travel along the Mumbai-Pune highway, or National Highway 4 (NH-4), to reach Shingroba ghat and Magic Point junction, thus connecting to the expressway ahead to travel towards Pune, said Yogesh Bhosale, assistant police inspector of highway safety patrol, Bhor ghat unit.
