A proud winner of titles like Mrs. India Classic 2022 and Mrs. Global Icon Maharashtra 2021, Stella’s journey into the world of glamour was anything but conventional. From a fitness enthusiast to a model and actress with a growing portfolio of web series, video songs, and brand shoots, her story is one of passion, perseverance, and bold self-expression. In this candid conversation with Puneinsight Editor Sanjay Jadhav, Stella talks about her inspiring transition, memorable moments, future dreams, and why rejection is never the end—only a redirection.
Can you share a bit about your journey into the entertainment and modeling industry? What inspired you to take this path?
Entering the entertainment and glamour industry wasn’t something I had planned. I’ve always been passionate about fitness—whether it was running marathons or practicing yoga. I loved clicking photos and sharing them on social media. When people started commenting on how youthful I looked, it boosted my confidence. I began to express myself more freely, and gradually, I started participating in small fashion shows and photoshoots. That’s how my journey into the fashion world began.
You have been featured in various projects, including video songs, web series, and brand shoots. Which of these experiences has been the most memorable for you and why?
Shooting for video songs has been the most challenging yet thrilling experience. You’re captured from all 360 degrees—there’s nowhere to hide! I’ve had to run through water, ride horses, and climb hills, all while maintaining a graceful and sensual expression. One of my most memorable shoots took place against the stunning backdrop of Rishikesh. Also, working in the web series Mrs. Deshpande was a special moment. Though I had a small role as a security guard, I felt incredibly proud and lucky to share screen space with the legendary Madhuri Dixit ma’am.
From print shoots to video projects, you have worked across different mediums. How do you prepare yourself for different roles?
Yes, each medium demands a different kind of preparation. For video song shoots, I focus a lot on physical fitness since it often involves physically demanding sequences. For acting, I concentrate on dialogue delivery, voice modulation, and expressions. I’m still learning and working hard to improve both my acting and fitness levels to establish myself as a credible model and actress.
Winning the title of Mrs. India Classic 2022 is a remarkable achievement. How has this title influenced your career and personal life?
Winning Mrs. India Classic 2022 and Mrs. Global Icon Maharashtra 2021 has been truly life-changing—especially because it happened right after the COVID-19 lockdowns. These titles gave me recognition in the glamour industry and helped me find my identity in it. Initially, I was hesitant to enter the industry because of my age and plus-size body type. But these wins boosted my confidence and reaffirmed that beauty and talent are not bound by age or size.
Many aspiring models and actors struggle with rejection and competition. What is your advice for them?
Rejection is a part of every model’s life. I’ve faced many rejections too—mostly because of my age or body type. But I’ve come to understand that rejections don’t mean you’re not talented. Often, it’s just that you don’t fit the specific requirements for a particular role or character. Instead of getting disheartened, use that experience to grow. Work on your fitness, refine your acting skills, and enhance your overall appearance. Take rejection as an opportunity to improve and be better prepared for the next chance that comes your way. Stay optimistic and never lose hope.
With the rise of digital content, platforms like YouTube and social media play a big role in an artist’s career. How have these platforms helped shape your journey?
Absolutely—social media has become an essential part of the glamour world. I must admit, I realized this quite late. Initially, I didn’t use social media much, even after winning titles. Only my close family and friends knew about my achievements. That’s when I understood the importance of reaching out to a wider audience. I gradually learned how to use platforms like YouTube and Instagram to showcase my talent. Social media has helped me grow, connect with people, and discover more opportunities.
You were a travel icon for EfortModels Travel Page. Can you tell us more about that experience? What are some of your favorite travel destinations?
Yes, being the travel icon for EfortModels’ travel page was like a dream come true. I absolutely love traveling and exploring new places. We shot at a scenic waterfall in Satara during the monsoon, which made everything even more beautiful. It was truly one of my most memorable shoots. In India, Kashmir is on my bucket list—I haven’t explored it yet. Internationally, I’ve been to the UK, Scotland, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. But my dream destination is Europe, and I hope to travel there someday soon.
When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
When I’m not working, I love spending time at home with my family. My day usually starts with yoga and high-intensity workouts at the gym. Later, I enjoy cooking for my kids and simply relaxing at home. If everyone in the family is free, we love going out for a nice dinner—our favorite way to unwind together is a cozy candlelight family meal.
Are there any dream roles or collaborations you hope to achieve in the near future?
Yes—like every model and actress, I dream of seeing myself on the big screen someday. That 70mm magic is something I look forward to! I also hope to work on an international modeling project. Fingers crossed—I’m waiting for the right opportunity to turn those dreams into reality.
