Pune: The students of Asia’s best Event Institute – NIEM The Institute of Event Management yet again fascinated the audience with a rare blend of colors and splendor, while displaying their excellent organizing skills at the Mr. & Ms. University and College Idol Pune Regional Finale at the Corinthian Resorts and Club.
The show was conceptualized by Dr. Hoshi Bhiwandiwalla and students were guided by Dr. Karna Upadhyay, Pradnya Chaitanya, Kiran Jadhav Mr. Pranay Gangwal, Mr. Atul Wagh, Mr. Manish Rajpal, Mr. Nihal Saxena, Mr. Gokul Menon, Ms. Pinkle Mehta, Mr. Parth Salvi, Ms. Nalini Bodakhe, Ms. Anjali Parmar and Ms. Divya Chhabria. The show’s colors were added by the trainees – choreographer Sandeep Dharma, EMCEE Bhavaish Bhatijaa and Terence Anthony, Upasna Anthony, Manthan Gohil of Trinity School of Performing arts. The show was hosted by Hugo D’Souza.
The judges for the splendid College Idol were Tejashree Adige, Bhavaish Bhatijaa and Sajan Agarwal. The distinguished Mr. & Ms. University was judged by famous actors and models – Pranav Mishra, Sham Mashalkar, Mrinalini Tyagi, renowned fashion choreographer – Sandeep Dharma and well-known dance choreographer – Terence Anthony.
The College Idol titles were bagged by Shree Dalvi (Fergusson College) and Sanika Mutekar (BMCC College), followed by Rohan Waghmare (Javhar College) & Chandani Tilkote (Zeal Institute) in the second place and Vinit Tathe (Ahmednagar College) and Purva Vengurlekar (Modern College) in the third place. In the Mr. & Ms. University contest, the various sub event winners were Digvijay Gaikwad as Mr. Robust, Upasana Shinde as Ms. Ten, Mayank Chaudhari as Mr. Photogenic, Vrushali Warkad as Ms. Photogenic, Harsha Patil as Mr. Audience Choice, Kumudini Patil as Ms. Audience Choice. The contest winners were Ashar Shaikh and Deepanshi Chhabra followed by first runners-up – Chinmay Gaikwad and Romi Pandey and second runners-up – Ishan Hasrani and Vaishnavi Walsetwar.
NIEM honoured a host of great people who stood by them throughout including Mr. Noor Basha Shaikh – the Deputy General Manager of Corinthians Resort and Club, Mr. Swapnil Shinde and Yuvraj Shinde from Dwarika Light and Sound, Mr. Milind Kawade from M K LED Wall, Mr. Balraj Singh Pasiya from Balraj and Salman Production, Mrs. Upasana Anthony and Mr. Manthan Gohil from the Trinity School of Performing Arts, Mr. Girish Agarwal from The Moments, Mr. Prashant Salve – Operations Head at Phoenix Marketcity (Audition Venue Partner), Mr. Rishabh Agarwal from Royal Reelz, Mr. Jugal Chandra from Jurich, Mr. Chaitanya Dhoka from Pinacle Events, Mrs. Leena Khandekar from Lee’s Center for Beauty and Spa, Mrs. Nilisha Raygandhi from World of Movements.
The entry for the event was restricted by invite only. Personality from various fraternities like the fashion, business, influencer, entertainment and event attended the show. Some of the famous personalities like Mr. Raghav Roy Kapur – the vice president of EEMA (west zone) and the owner of Livewire Events and Promos, Mr. Dipen Shah (Tinubhai) – director of Ashok Group of Companies, Mr. Darshan Somani – director of Bandhan by Darshan Somani, Mr. Pranay Gangwal – director of Imparavel Events and Entertainment, Mrs. Shilpa Somani – director of Bandhan by Darshan Somani, Mr. Yuvraj Shinde – director of Dwarika Lights and Sound, Mrs. Priyanka Roy Kapur – director of Livewire Events and Promos, Mr. Vinayak Raskar – director of Miracle Events, Mr. Sanjay Jaju – director of Jaju Decorators, Mr. Abhineet Shah – director of Wedding Genie, Mr. Pravin Raka – director of Raka Décor and Events graced their presence at the event.

NIEM showed its gratefulness to all the experts who helped them create a striking show including Sandeep Dharma’s Runway House for grooming and fashion choreography, Trinity School of Performing Arts for participants’ dance round choreography, Mr. Bhavaish Bhatijaa for communication expertise, Mr. Jitesh Patil for portfolio shoot, Lee’s Beauty Centre and Spa for hair styling and make up for portfolio shoot and the main event.
The show’s glamour was heightened because of its audience. NIEM showed its sincere appreciation to all the sponsors involved in making the show happen. The elegance of the show was enhanced by performances from the World of Movements by Nilisha Ray Gandhi, Trinity School of Performing Arts, Sanketwalla and the students of NIEM. The sleekness and pace of the show left the audience mesmerised and asking for more.
