Snackzyy: For the love of easy snacks

With more and more people wanting to stay in home comfort and enjoy tasty food, the delivery model is on the rise.

With the lockdown being extended till August 31, all the hotels will remain closed for dine-in and will continue with their home delivery mode until further orders.

Puneinsight caught up with Mansi Manjra, the owner of recently launched food venture Snackzyy, who threw light on the efforts which went into the same and her plans for the business.

“The idea started with looking out for easy snack options plus trying out new dishes in this lockdown. New sauces, dressings and pre-marinated food were required to make some tasty dishes but the whole process was quite tedious and time-consuming. So we started looking for different types of ready sauces and some ready to cook snacks which would ease the cooking process and save us some time. Also, the fact that we could not step out to eat our favourite dishes led us on a hunt to find such products which were equally tasty and cooked in your own home without worrying about the hygiene issues,” Mansi highlighted.

“A lot of efforts went into starting this venture. We not only had to find food brands that were able to give options when it came to products but also provide us with the safest, highest quality and tastiest food products. We made sure that all the brands we were working with ensured compliance with all relevant food safety standards. Getting all these well- known brands under one roof was another challenge,” Mansi added.

When quizzed about the reason for choosing the food business, Mansi was quick to say “It’s a difficult time for every business. We wanted to make sure that any business we took up could be marketed and streamlined even in this pandemic. Plus during Covid-19 we wanted people to stay safe but still be able to enjoy tasty and restaurant/cafe food in the comfort of their own home without worrying about safety, sanitization of kitchens/utensils and all such hygiene-related issues.”

Throwing light on the challenges while setting-up, Mansi said “With no background in the food industry, getting such a wide variety of products including dealing with so many brands all at the same time was no piece of cake. Working on the delivery cost and time was and in fact, still is the most challenging part of this venture. In these unprecedented times, it is difficult to even forecast the sales and revenue figures.”

Speaking on current offers being provided Mansi said “we have a 10% discount as our introductory offer. We are also giving discounts and free samples on bulk orders.”

Currently surviving in this business is the only goal but looking forward, we would love to set up a cafe and include all these tasty dishes in the menu for people to try. Safety and hygiene is our utmost priority so we make sure the delivery is contactless. We are even encouraging customers to use digital payment methods so that the risk is minimized. For small orders, customers can also collect their order from our place.” Mansi concluded.
