Covid-19: Pune inching towards 50k mark

With a total of 46872 cases as on July 17, Pune is soon inching towards the 50,000-mark.

The total number of patients discharged stands at 30283 while the total deaths are 1243.

Currently, there are 15308 active cases while 666 are critical.

with regard to the state, Maharashtra recorded 8308 new cases, taking the total numbers to 2,92,589 as on July 17.

Meanwhile, Mumbai recorded 1214 cases and 62 deaths, taking the total to 99,164 cases with 5585 deaths. With 2217 patients discharged, the total recoveries in Maharashtra stand at 1,60,357.

CMO Maharashtra issues directives

Meanwhile, the Chief Ministers Office issued a set of directives on the occasion of Bakri Id on Friday.

As per the directives, people have to celebrate in a simple way and avoid stepping out and crowding at any public space.
