Amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown to contain Covid-19 outbreak, and as per the directive issued by the Union Health Ministry allowing the doorstep delivery of essential medicines as part of an effort to restrict people’s movement further, Cloudnine Group of Hospitals, India’s leading chain of maternity, childcare and fertility care group of hospitals headquartered in Bengaluru, has collaborated with Dunzo, an all-in-one 24X7 delivery platform to deliver essential medicines to expecting mothers and their new-borns at doorstep. Dunzo’s no-contact delivery will ensure that medicines are delivered safely and securely to customers across Cloudnine centres in Gurgaon, Pune, Chennai and Bengaluru with immediate effect.
This service comes as an extension to the hospital’s recently launched teleconsultation services allowing customers to consult doctors from their homes via video thereby avoiding all the non- essential travel to the hospital. Doctors will advise medicines to patients through the video consultation which can be further booked through “It’s our Baby” app. An automatic message will be sent to the Cloudnine pharmacy once the medicines are prescribed. Pharmacy will call and enquire with the patients on the medicine requirements. Upon confirmation, a payment link will be sent to the customer. Once paid, Dunzo will initiate deliveries across cities and ensure patients get the urgent aid they require conveniently.
Speaking at the side-lines of this tie up says Raviganesh Venkataraman, CEO, Cloudnine Group of Hospitals “Our customer is basically a millennial and they are already accustomed to a digital medium in virtually every aspect of their lives life. Technology is something that touches our customer’s life and every single aspect of their pregnancy journey – before & after. In these unprecedented times of COVID 19, while it is extremely essential to stay in touch with the doctor, it is equally important to ensure a continuous supply of medicines. Our collaboration with Dunzo for our customers shall enable people to stay home by ensuring the delivery of right medicines at the right time at their doorstep”.
