The Pune based automobile company is a fully vertically integrated automotive manufacturer. The company has a rich heritage as was founded back in 1958 and holds 62 years of experience in the automobile industry.
Force motors encourage innovation and motivate the 500 odd experts. They followed the Gandhian rule of transformation at a grass-root level. Force motors are active in developing utilitarian, low cost, mass transportation vehicles from the past 62 years.
The company is known for brands like Tempo, Matador, Minor, and Travellers. Force Motors is India’s largest van maker till date. This company was called as BAJAJ TEMPO MOTORS till 2005. The first diesel light commercial vehicle in India was MATADOR – a successful product of FORCE MOTORS.
Apart from manufacturing vehicles, the company also manufactures engines and axles. This company started its market by manufacturing three-wheeled tempos and auto-rickshaws. This company had its collaboration with Germany.
After the success of three-wheeled vehicles, the FORCE MOTORS took a new step and came up with an idea of Travellers. For this reason, a new plant was set up in Madhya Pradesh.
Then this company achieved laurels in the market of heavy mass transportation vehicles or Trucks after signing technology sourcing agreements with MAN SE in 2003.
Then in 2012, they came forward with a monocoque vehicle named “Traveller”. It could seat 26 persons, designed entirely in-house, disc brakes on all four wheels with safety features like ABS and EBD.
After this, the company got contracts from BMW to produce and tests engine for all SUV’S.
Currently the company is working for the production of engines for BMW, MERCEDES and many other automobile companies.
Force motors now have nationwide dealerships. It also has connections with countries like LATIN AMERICA, AFRICA, SAARC AND ASEAN countries, GULF and GERMANY.
