INTRODUCTION:
MIT Pune is one of the premier institutes in the city of Pune which is located at S.No. 124, LIC colony Kothrud. The institute was established in the year 1983 and is one of the oldest technical institutions in the city. Following its name the Maharashtra institute of technology (MIT), its campus is a huge place to explore and the atmosphere is very positive and peaceful. The founder of MIT Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad a professor by profession had this dream to build a private engineering college in Pune so that everyone would get a chance to get the technical knowledge.

The MIT was first affiliated to the UNIVERSITY OF PUNE but later on, was self deemed and became MIT WORLD PEACE UNIVERSITY (MIT WPU). The campus is large with all the facilities a college should and must have. The staff and faculties are experienced and well trained. The college is now known as a university and deserves that name because of its high reputation in the city. It is included in the list of top ten colleges of Pune. Its high placement record and other co-curricular activities are known by every student and college in the city. This institute is known for its discipline and the way of living. The admissions are held every year depending on the various criteria which include 12th percentage, marks in JEE and score in MHCET. The institute is just half an hour’s drive from the Pune railway station and 1-hour drive from Pune airport. The locality is crowded in the way of campus but inside the campus, you will hardly hear any noises from outside. The campus also has a bank inside for its students and staff.
