PMPML to reward citizens who complain about conductors and drivers who err them

The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Private Limited (PMPML) has announced a scheme to control the arrogant behavior of the drivers and conductors of PMPML. They have announced a reward of 100 rupees to the citizens who complain about such drivers. But to get the same, citizens have to prove their misbehavior.

PMPML, in a statement, made it clear that even the drivers who speak on their mobile phones while driving are also considered in this scheme as this is unsafe for the passengers. Not having a route board or wrong route boards and bus stopping on zebra crossing will also be fineable. The driver or the conductor will be charged with a fine of 1000 rupees.

The statement further mentioned, “On receiving such complaints, the citizens will get a reward of Rs. 100, but the driver or the bus conductor will be charged a fine of RS.1000, which will be deducted from their salary.”

To complain, citizens can click photos as a part of the evidence and send them to complaints@pmpml.org or on WhatsApp number 9881495589. The complaint should have details like bus number, route, location, date, and time of the incident. One can also submit evidence of the complaint to a nearby bus depot.
